Lunch & Dinner

Cabo San Lucas

  • Metate Cabo is a trendy restaurant specializing in traditional Mexican cuisine. From its handcrafted decors to locally sourced ingredients, this restaurant aims to be closer to its roots as much as possible.
  • A Latin-Japanese fusion eatery that you simply can’t miss. It’s encouraged that you tell your chef you want “Omakase,” meaning, “I leave it up to you,” so that you can experience something truly remarkable.
  • Opened in late 2014, WTF Burger Bar made its mark in Cabo San Lucas as one of the best restaurants specializing in American cuisine. It is located outside of the Puerto Paraiso Mall, overlooking the Marina.
  • La Casona is a fine dining steakhouse known for their incredible dry-aged beef. Famed to be one of the best dinner places in Cabo San Lucas, they’re known for their decadent food and romantic ambiance.

San José del Cabo

  • Serving Italian favorites, homemade pastas, woodfired pizzas, and more. La Dolce offers the most classic Italian meals in town. Food is crafted from quality ingredients and rated highly among locals and visitors alike.
  • Come for the ceviche, stay for the friendly and fun atmosphere. A newer addition to San Jose del Cabo, it’s making a name for itself quickly. The ceviche, among their other dishes – namely their seafood menu items (think: grilled octopus, whole fish of the day, etc.) standout as some of the best around.
  • Offering a blend of Latin American cuisines, Latin 8 has a variety of menu items belonging to Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Cuba and more.
  • In the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains, you’ll find a beautiful 25 acre organic working farm. Flora’s Field Kitchen, the on-site restaurant, serves only food that has been grown on property. Their menu is of course seasonal, and changes often, but you’ll find some permanent classics, woodfired pizzas, and an ice cream cart. Reservations are highly encouraged, especially on Tuesdays and Saturdays when they feature live music.

Our top picks for some cocktails at night:

Cabo San Lucas

  • The Cape has been a darling since it first opened its door, and we also adore its high-rise rooftop bar (it’s easy to see why “Condé Nast Traveler” named it one of the best rooftop bars in the world). Sip on mezcal-based cocktails as you enjoy views of the Sea of Cortés, the arch at Land’s End, and the beautiful surroundings.
  • Each evening, Bar Esquina really comes alive, with daily live music and a social, celebratory atmosphere that attracts locals and visitors. You’ll drink inventive cocktails and impressive wine and eat locally-sourced food from Chef Andres Bracamontes’ Mediterranean- and Mexican-inspired menu.

San José del Cabo

  • Features a selection of impressively crafted cocktails, both classic and house. Served outdoors in the center of the art district of Old Town. Enjoy a cocktail or one of their selected varieties of mezcal or other distills, and maybe a couple of their pinchos while the live DJ spinning mellow tunes.
  • Gin has been making a comeback in recent years. That’s especially true at the gin-themed rooftop Dalton Gin Bar, which specializes in craft cocktails. Each is designed to give you a unique experience, and that’s what you can always expect. Come at sunset to take in the views of San José del Cabo’s historic downtown.

Things to Do

    • Art Gallery District
Browse or buy the perfect piece during a stroll through the Gallery District, located behind San José del Cabo’s historic main square. Art galleries display original paintings, sculpture, prints, photographs, and jewelry created by local artisans, as well as national and international artists.
    • Wild Canyon
Choose your activity from an off-road ride in an ATV, zipline tour, sling swing, camel ride, bungee jump, or hike. There’s an animal sanctuary, horseback riding, sailing, and an aquatic park and restaurant for cooling off after your adventures.
    • Luxury sailing tours and sunset cruise
Relax and enjoy the seas around Los Cabos on a vessel from catamaran to sailboat or yacht. A variety of companies offer full and half-day excursions, sunset cruises, whale watching, dinner and show packages, or snorkeling and diving adventures.
